WELCOME NEW OCAC ARTIST–IN–RESIDENCE
OCAC’s Artist–In–Residence program is pleased to welcome Margie Livingston
to campus for the next six weeks. Margie will be available Wednesdays 3-5pm
in her studio in the tiny house, accessible from the back parking lot by the wood studio, and available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
.Margie Livingston received her M.F.A. in painting from the University of Washington. Her awards include a residency at the Shenzhen Fine Art Institute in Shenzhen, China, in 2008; a Fulbright Scholarship in 2001, the Arts Innovator Award in 2010, the Neddy Fellowship in Painting in 2010, and the Betty Bowen Annual Memorial Award in 2006. She is a finalist for the Portland Art Museum’s 2015 Contemporary Northwest Art Awards. She is represented by Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle and Luis De Jesus Los Angeles. Livingston’s work resides in the permanent collections of the Shenzhen Fine Art Institute, the Seattle Art Museum, the City of Seattle, King County, and the Henry Art Gallery.Bobbi Woods

are also on campus as Instructors-In-Residence in the MFA program and photography, respectively. Bobbi will have open studio hours in room 222 of the thesis building Wednesdays12-4pm
and by appointment, and Evan will have open studio hours in the shared MFA studio space Wednesdays 11am-1pm

The deadline to register is October 14! You can change your address up until election day.
Non-members of the OCAC community can register to vote at their local library. Your local branch may also offer ballot drop off services on election day!

Photography Department Head Mark Rupert will participate in Artistic Representation of Iconic Landscapes
, a Environmental Affairs Symposium at Lewis and Clark. The art of iconic landscapes provides a way to look at how art shapes how humans interact with the ecological environment. There are many places in the world that have become hubs for artistic pilgrims who capture the beauty and culture of the landscape. MORE
SATURDAY LIFE DRAWING
SAT OCT 18 | 9am–12pm | OCAC Campus
Saturday life drawing is an opportunity for you to draw independently. There is no instructor. No preregistration is needed, just stop by the front desk on the day you wish to attend and pay for your class. Adults only please. Cost is $7 per session for OCAC students, OCAC members, and the Nike Design Atelier and the cost for general public is $11.

STUDENT AND ALUMNI HOLIDAY SALE CALL FOR ENTRIES
OCAC will host its annual sale of student and alumni work November 28-30
. There is no entry fee for artists and participants will receive 60% of their sale proceeds. All current undergraduate, graduate, and Studio School students and OCAC alumni are encouraged to participate. REGISTER by FRI NOV 21 @ 5PM
