Thom Collins, the new Executive Director and President of the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, PA, will be the Commencement speaker at Oregon College of Art and Craft (OCAC). An innovative curator and educator, and an accomplished art historian, administrator and author, Mr. Collins has more than 20 years of experience at some of America’s top arts institutions. Prior to joining the Barnes he served for five years as Director of the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Florida (PAMM).
Commencement will be held at the Winningstad Theater, 1111 SW Broadway Avenue, Portland OR at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015. The commencement will celebrate and officially recognize the academic achievements of 64 students from the college’s Master of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Post-Baccalaureate and Certificate programs in Craft. The degree candidates come from 17 states, Puerto Rico and four countries.
