SATURDAY LIFE DRAWING
SAT OCT 25 | 9am–12pm | OCAC Campus 
Saturday life drawing is an opportunity for you to draw independently. There is no instructor. No preregistration is needed, just stop by the front desk on the day you wish to attend and pay for your class. Adults only please. Cost is $7 per session for OCAC students, OCAC members, and the Nike Design Atelier and the cost for general public is $11. Model: Amanda

RACC ACCEPTING PROPOSALS FOR INSTALLATIONS AT THE PORTAND BUILDING
Submission deadline WED NOV 5 | 5pm

The Regional Arts & Culture Council invites students, or student teams, currently enrolled in an Oregon college/university program, to submit proposals for temporary installations in the lobby of the Portland Building at 1120 SW 5th Avenue in downtown Portland. Three installations, each approximately four weeks long, will be featured from March 2015 through August 2015. Students selected will receive a $500 honorarium. Download RFP. Dowload Budget Form.


STUDENT AND ALUMNI HOLIDAY SALE CALL FOR ENTRIES
OCAC will host its annual sale of student and alumni work November 28-30. There is no entry fee for artists and participants will receive 60% of their sale proceeds. ALUMNA LIZZY GLADSTONE AND MARGARET HADEN SELECTED AS 2015 NICHE AWARDS PROFESSIONAL FINALISTS
Lizzy Gladstone (BFA ’12) is a finalist in the professional fashion accessories, handbag category and Margaret Haden (Post Baccalaureate ’11) is a finalist in the professional ceramics functional category. The winners will be announced at the Niche Awards ceremony January 17, 2015 in Washington DC at the American Made Show.

Catherine Chandler, Metals Department Studio Manager and OCAC Alumna (’14), participates in Protective Ornament: Contemporary Amulets to Armor, a group show that ranges from protective hardware (physical fortification) and protective “software” (faith-based adornment), underlining the crucial safeguarding function of jewelry and other wearable ornaments.
