One of the biggest complaints we receive here at OCAC library is that people wish they had known about the online databases sooner. A lot of students, especially seniors, find these valuable resources after they have already completed a major project!
DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!
Your librarian Elsa, has made several video tutorials so that you can easily search the online databases from home. Whether you’re needing text or images, working within art or science, you can find everything you need and find tutorials to help guide your searches. All you need to get started is your library card.
From the OCAC main page (ocac.edu) you can go to the campus life tab, and find the library in the drop down menu. This will take you to an info page on the library. From there you can click Library Website which will take you to the library hub. Everything you need is here. You can get started right away by clicking on the databases tab, or you can click the web tutorials tab to get some better information on specific databases like Art Grove, ARTStor, other databases. Here you can even watch a brief tutorial on how to use the online catalog. You can also come into the library for further information or to learn some advanced searching tips.
