9. “Einstein’s Dreams” by Alan Lightman

Einstein’s Dreams by Alan Lightman

“Imagine a world in which there is no time. Only images.” This begins one chapter in this light, yet expansive novel. Here, queries regarding time are turned into poetic stories that muse over the possibilities of manipulating and redirecting the rules for this precision measurement tool we are so dependant upon. Lightman ponders new worlds Einstein might have imagined if time were altered, and how it might affect our perceptions and experiences when different from our norm.
